We are taking you to Slavonia, the golden region of Croatia, whose hospitable hosts are proud of their customs and tradition. First we’ll come to Đakovo, a city that carries the title of the heart of Slavonia. The protection mark of Đakovo, the Cathedral of St. Peter, is the first thing that will steal your attention, and Pope John XIII. named it the most beautiful cathedral from Venice to Istanbul. We will visit the bishop’s palace, the old town center, the Strossmayer Park, and in the center of the town there is „Pastuharna“ where the beautiful Lipizzans of the State Stud Farm are training. One of the oldest Stud Farms in Europe is of a great value and importance for Đakovo. The second location of the State Farm is located on Ivandvor, where the stud herd of mares with their foals are situated and where they are raised up. Afterwards, we will go to Osijek, the largest Slavonian town. Two largest Osijek pearls are the cathedral, one of the most impressive Croatian churches, and the Fortress – the impressive baroque fortress and the most important old city core to this day. We are able, according to your wishes, to organize a homemade, Slavonian lunch which you will enjoy knowing you can’t try these delicious things in any other region. After free time in Osijek, in the late afternoon, we will go back to Zagreb (about 3 hours drive).
